Homestead Exemption Information
The Winston County Tax Assessor wants property owners to be aware that you may need to re-sign for Homestead Exemption if the following circumstances occur:
- Turned 65 years old in 2016
- Got married or divorced
- Had a spouse who passed away
- Became disabled
- Moved
- Built a new house
- Bought or sold land
- Had any change in your deed
- Set up a Life Estate
- 100% Service Related Disabled Veteran
The last day to re-sign for Homestead Exemption is March 31, 2017.
