Meeting with FEMA, MEMA, Broaddus, and ARX
BE IT REMEMBERED that the Board of Supervisors of Winston County, Mississippi, held a meeting at the Courthouse in the City of Louisville, Mississippi, at 9:00 am, this the 28th day of July, 2014, the same being duly noticed and posted to all necessary parties.
Present and constituting the Board was Honorable James “Burr” Warner, District One; Honorable Luke Parkes, District Two; Honorable Mike Peterson, District Three; and Honorable Larry Duran, District Five. Also present were Board Attorney Hugh Hathorn, Honorable Jason Pugh, Honorable Julie Cunningham, Chancery Clerk of Winston County, Gerald Mills, Stanley Spradling, Tracy McCully of Winston Web News, Daniel Brunty of the Winston County Journal, Smithville Mayor Kennedy, Buddy King, EMA Director, MEMA, FEMA, Broaddus, and ARX representatives.
The Board, having been declared in session at 9:00 am, by Deputy Keith Alexander with Honorable Mike Peterson, President of the Board of Supervisors presiding, proceeded with business as follows, to-wit:
ORDER APPROVING C-SPIRE CONTRACT FOR CELL PHONE USAGE
CAME ON FOR CONSIDERATION at the request of Honorable Julie Cunningham, approval of the C-Spire contract for cell phone usage for Winston County employees.
After discussion and upon said request, Motion was made by Honorable Luke Parkes and Second by Honorable Burr Warner to approve said contract.

ORDER APPROVING HIRE OF JOE MCCRANEY TO ASSIST WITH WINSTON COUNTY BUDGETARY PROCESS
CAME ON FOR CONSIDERATION at the request of Honorable Julie Cunningham, approval for the hire of Joe McCraney to assist with the Winston County budgetary process for 2014-2015, at a rate of $1500.00 per month for 3 months.
After discussion and upon said request, Motion was made by Honorable Burr Warner and Second by Honorable Gloria Turnipseed to approve said hire.

ORDER APPROVING RESOLUTION ENTERING INTO GRANT AGREEMENT WITH MISSISSIPPI DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY FOR THE SMALL MUNICIPALITIES AND LIMITED POPULATION COUNTIES GRANT
CAME ON FOR CONSIDERATION at the request of Phylis Benson of the Golden Triangle Planning and Development District, approval of a resolution to enter into a grant agreement with MDA for the Small Municipalities and Limited Population Counties Grant.
After discussion and upon said request, Motion was made by Honorable Luke Parkes and Second by Honorable Burr Warner to approve said resolution.

ORDER ADDING ABANDONED 4-WHEELER TO WINSTON COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT INVENTORY
CAME ON FOR CONSIDERATION at the request of Deputy Keith Alexander, approval for the addition of an abandoned 4-wheeler to the Inventory of Winston County Sheriff’s Department. Said 4-wheeler was found abandoned in February 2014.
After discussion and upon said request, Motion was made by Honorable Larry Duran and Second by Honorable Burr Warner to approve said addition to inventory.

CAME ON FOR CONSIDERATION at the request of Honorable Kim Ming, Circuit Clerk of Winston County, approval for a contract for the purpose of redistricting pursuant to Section 23-15-225 of Mississippi Code Annotated of 1972.
